curatorial tip 14
fill the gap: great curating calls for exhibition-making that relates to issues and ideas that, as a curator, you wish to see but have yet to see. Which narratives are you searching for, longing for when you see exhibitions? What themes or issues you wish was discussed more in the art world, but is yet to be part of the conversation? Not only will it make for an interesting, thorough and creative exhibition, it will also raise important questions, and insert itself in the contemporary discourse. It is also what makes the curating of exhibition really important: it generates ideas that will engage the (your) public and make it reflect.
